The immersive art exhibition Aurorae, curated by global curatorial initiative capitArtX, reimagines Womanhood as an inclusive and expansive concept, showcasing artists of all gender identities and reflecting” diverse expressions and perspectives on femininity.
Unbound Selves is an evocative video artwork collection by İrem Çoban that delves into deconstructing personal and collective identities, urging viewers to transcend prejudices and societal constructs. This series explores the fluidity of the self and the liberation found in shedding imposed labels and preconceived notions. The collection was produced using Blender and Touch- designer software.


Irem, an assistant professor at Istanbul Bilgi University, pursued her Bachelor’s, Master’s and Proficiency in Art’s Degrees in Cinema. She has exhibited her work in group exhibitions, participated in festivals, and led workshops across a variety of countries, from the USA to Japan. Her work is internationally acclaimed and has received numerous awards from prestigious global cultural organizations. As an Assistant Professor at Istanbul Bilgi University, one of Turkey’s most reputable contemporary art and design universities, Irem combines her academic expertise with her creative practice. A multimedia artist, she specialises in experimental filmmaking, video collage, illustration, and visual storytelling. Her work spans both 3D and 2D drawing, as well as cutting-edge fields such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), the metaverse, as well as media curation and art curation.
