Ethico-Aesthetics of AI Forum
This is a series of online events we aim to host this year at a contemporary pace. We believe the digital art scene, particularly in light of the profound impact of recent AI developments on creativity, provides a fertile digital ground for global gatherings of diverse perspectives and knowledge to collectively reflect on the historical phenomenon of AI today.
Phygital Performance: Light In The Window
Light in the Window is a multidisciplinary and trans-disciplinary theatrical-visual art project rooted in digitalisation of performance and poetry. Structured in chapters, the work explores the individual’s conflict with the city, portrayed as the newly constructed natural habitat of the human being. Together with capitArtX media lab, the collective transforms the physical performance – which reflects poetic chapters performed by dancers, into a digitally reimagined audiovisual poetry installation comprising fragmented video artworks.
Academic Digital Art Course
In the spring of 2025, capitArtX launched a pilot online media lab digital art course for Istinye University, exploring digital art before and after the internet. The course focused particularly on the concept of AI art and the impacts of AI on artistic creation, appreciation, and curatorship. The course was led online by Dr Isil Ezgi Celik and Esra Ozan with participation of 30 students and with an in-person talk delivered by Dr Irem Coban at Istinye University.
